Pilots, agreements and deposits

How a pilot moves from proposal to agreement to deposit, why no creator is booked until the deposit clears, and where to follow each document.

From proposal to campaign

A pilot is a fixed-scope, fixed-price test with a selected group of creators. It moves through the same steps every time:

  1. 1Proposal: we send a written proposal with the scope, price and creators we suggest.
  2. 2Agreement: once you are happy with the proposal, we send the agreement for signature.
  3. 3Deposit: you pay the 50% deposit invoice.
  4. 4Campaign live: once the deposit has cleared, we book creators and the work starts. The balance is due before the campaign goes live.
  5. 5Results: reports show what the pilot did, credited by the rules in your agreement.

Following your documents

Every proposal and agreement we send also appears under Documents on your dashboard, with its status (for example waiting for your review, out for signature or signed) and whose signature is still needed. The email that comes with each document explains how to review and sign it.

The deposit rule

You can review and sign your proposal and agreement before paying anything. No creator receives an offer, and no creator work starts, until your deposit has cleared.

  • An ACH bank payment that is still processing hasn't cleared yet. Your dashboard shows when it has.
  • If a deposit is refunded or reversed, the rule applies again until it is paid.
  • A brand's deposit clears before we make any commitment to a creator, and creators are still paid within 45 days of their content being approved, even if a balance is late.
